Top Smartphones on the Market in 2019
2019 promises 5G-enabled phones will be hitting stores in waves. The buzz is palpable and people are speculating about possible features and characteristics. 5G will not only overtake 4G and 3G, but also give smart-phones a considerable boost. People want to buy iPhone 8 Plus or Samsung Galaxy S9 today, but several manufacturers are eagerly waiting to disrupt markets in 2019 and have already announced some of their offerings that are slated for release next year. Everything from next gen cloud computing to overlay information about your surroundings and holographic images are no a longer reserved for sci-fi movies.
The future is here, and we are here to tell you about the best phones that will be hitting the markets over the next few years:
1. Samsung Galaxy S10
The Samsung Galaxy S10 is reported to be 5G-enabled and talks with Qualcomm have borne fruit with the two partnering up for the same. The S10 is planning to be at the forefront of innovation with new 5G offerings and will set the benchmark for upload and download speeds, streaming of 4K content on your phone, and playing AAA games via PS Now. The phones could be launched at the Mobile World Congress, which is towards the end of February 2019.
2. Huawei P30
Huawei has confirmed they are working on bringing out their 5G-enabled devices by next year. It all depends on how the chipsets develop. If we do not see 5G in the P30, then it will be available in their Mate series, which launches in September, 2019. Since 5G requires more power consumption and the antennas are bigger, it will pose a problem for manufacturers who are already struggling with low battery life. They will either need bigger batteries or they will streamline existing energy usage.
3. OnePlus 7
OnePlus has revealed that they are working with U.S. carriers to bring a 5G phone to the market next year. Therefore, we can speculate that the OnePlus 7 will be 5G-enabled. This will be a worrying move for competitors as the OnePlus 6 released in 2018 smoked the competition in every benchmark tested. The OnePlus 7 line of phones will most likely be the second wave of 5G phones as they normally release later in the year after Samsung, Sony, and Huawei.
4. Sony Xperia XZ3
Sony, which has claimed that is always trying to innovate, will be working on the Sony Xperia XZ3 for their new release at the end of February 2019. Sony is rumored to be working on a battery that will run for days at a time and have massive capabilities for this new release. They are slated to give tough competition to industry leaders like Samsung and Apple next year.
5. iPhone X (2019)
Apple is in talks with MediaTek to discuss the possibility of delivering a handset with 5G capabilities. Apple is usually the last out of the big players to adopt any new tech for its phones. This will leave them more than enough time to make some changes and deliver with their usual panache and use their ‘save the best for last’ reveal style. Throngs of people went to buy iPhone 8 Plus, but this will be a game changer. When you look at the iPhone 8 Plus deals today and the iPhone SE 911 deals, you will realize how far Apple has come.
